Not sure about being forced to teach about it being normal, but I'll settle for it being a sacking offense for any teacher to teach or suggest that it is any way wrong or shameful.
The question you have to ask is should teachers say that anything is shameful ?
If you think they shouldn't then fire away.
If you think there are points where its right to do so, then it becomes a moral judgement. Attend a faith school and you have to expect those morals to be derived from that faith. Surely that's common sense.
